HDUM was on 17th Jan 2020 approved by the Hong Kong Marine Department for provision of professional services for performing Flag State Audit (FSA) and Pre-Arrival Audit (PAA) for Hong Kong registered ships in Mainland China and abroad in view of Quality assurance for Hong Kong registered ships.
All HDUM surveyors for conducting the Flag State Audit and Pre-Arrival Audit are Master Mariner or Marine Engineer officer (Class 1) with minimum 2 years sea experience in the rank. In addition to above, our surveyors have at least 2 years of proven experience in ship inspection and ISM auditing as a surveyor for Class/Flag state/Port state, or in vessel operations as a superintendent/DPA, have specific training in ISM/ISPS/MLC2006
Hong Kong Merchant Shipping Information Note -MSIN No. 7/2020 has adopted a new arrangement for quality assurance by Marine Department to uphold the quality of the ships in the Hong Kong Shipping Register, with effect from 9 March 2020 (Effective Date). HDUM will conduct the FSQC Audits to Hong Kong-registered ships under the authorization of Hong Kong Marine Department.
